1 in 4 parents have never cooked with their kids. That’s why Uncle Ben’s started a global, interactive cooking app to get families back in the kitchen. Launching in the US, Canada, France, U.K., and Australia the program kicked off on International Cook With Your Kids Day.
First up: select your recipe. Then 5 interactive games will teach skills that help kids cook that recipe.
While they were are at, they could check through the ingredients and learn a bit about each of them.
Example Activity: Chopping
First, users were taught how to chop in straight consistent manner. Once this was mastered, it was onion dicing time.
With dicing down, they were invited to learn even more skills.
After they learned to cook the meal, families were prompted to share their creation with #LookWhatWeMade. Families could win $15,000 for themselves, and $35,000 for their school cafeteria. And to launch it all we created a global spot aimed at reminding families of the power of cooking together.
